“Château-Montreuil-Bellay, and an age old tradition of wine-making...”
Why not visit our website on the presentation and marketing of our wines? These wines, under the name of “Château Montreauil-Bellay”, are all certified “appellation contrôlée".
They are produced from vines which have always been grown on the premesis. The plantations consist exclusively of Cabernet franc (Saumur Rouge and Cabernet d’Anjou rose) and of Chenin (Saumur Blanc and Brut Tradition) : www.chateau-montreuil-bellay.fr
The grapes, harvested and sorted by hand, are made into wine with precision and care in the fifteenth-century wine cellars. This is supervised by both our chief winemaker and our oenologist.
We receive awards regularly for the quality of our wines as well as for the condition of our Château. The two go hand in hand, both being dependent on each other.
